I am not able to open the game, it is saying that it failed to initialize Direct X audio.

My game on opening is showing that the system is not able to find the file specified. It was running nicely till today morning, but now it is showing this. My starter has evolved into Venusaur, and I have a lot of batches. That is why I dont want to start a new game. Please, please, please suggest me a remedy.
